Description

The Elica round table combines geometrical shape with organic curves. Elliptical legs reveal from one perspective the strength of solid wood. On the contrary, from another side it appears subtle. The table is optically lightened without losing anything from its durability. It will encourage the family cohesion for generations.

Round–oval–round

You extend the table using one hand. Sturdy mechanism has smooth running. Smooth pull-out movement of legs thanks to hidden wheels. In just few seconds you transform a circle into an elegant oval.

One piece

Even when extended, the table has an integral appearance. Wood grain is continuous from the table top onto the extension. The mechanism remains perfectly concealed.

You may step on it

Because of the traditional technique with glued mortise-and-tenon joints, it will remain solid after decades in use. The table can bear up to 120 kg. And this also in the case of extendable version.

Before they grow up

The round Elica table has no sharp corners. This improves the ergonomics of sitting and safety for families with small children.

Walnut

Beech has the least distinctive pattern of all our wood species. Its surface is therefore perfectly smooth. It has a light yellow to pinkish-brown colour which will darken slightly over time. We buy beech logs directly from the surrounding forests in the Eagle Mountains.

Beech from the Eagle Mountains often contains a dark core and small knots which is well distinguishable from the lighter wood. In our production we choose wood with beautiful dark grain. This creates a unique pattern and decorative appearance of products made of heart beech.

Oak furniture is characterized by a more distinctive pattern. The texture of the wood can be felt on the surface. It has a yellow-brown colour with a hint of golden colour. We select oak wood in Czech certified forests within 150 km from the Eagle Mountains.

American walnut is halfway between beech and oak in terms of its distinctive grain. The wood texture is less obvious by touch. It is the darkest of our three wood species. It is light brown to blackish brown in colour and will lighten slightly over time. We import this precious American walnut directly from North America.

Olej dokonale zachová autentický pocit přírodního povrchu dřeva. Na pohled i na pohmat. Oproti laku je méně odolný vůči rozlitému červenému vínu, dětskému jídlu nebo horkým nápojům a vyžaduje pravidelnou údržbu. V případě nehody ale desku ošetřenou olejem snadno opravíte i v domácích podmínkách.

Matný lak je nejodolnější povrchová ochrana, kterou může dřevěný povrch mít. Snadno odolá i rozlitému vínu, dětskému jídlu nebo horké kávě. A nevyžaduje téměř žádnou údržbu. Oproti oleji je pocit z přírodního materiálu při dotyku méně patrný, přesto zůstává povrch velice příjemný a přirozený.
