Gatta presents itself in a firm and traditional way and does not draw for undue attention. Thanks to its combination of function and humility it will remain the lever in your home for generations.

Using only one hand

Extension of the table using one hand. Sturdy mechanism has smooth light running. Smooth pull-out motion of legs to the side thanks to integrated wheels.

One piece

After extension the table looks as a whole. A continuous wood grain goes through the whole surface of the table top and extension. The extension mechanism remains concealed.

Precise joints

The table maintains its solidity because of the traditional technique of glued mortise-and-tenon joints. Decades of use do not make a difference. Except for the extension mechanism, it does not contain any metal joint.

Never impeding

Thin table top and low aprons enabling even armrests of an armchair to be slid underneath. Slender legs will not impede diners sitting at the table.

Beech has the least distinctive pattern of all our wood species. Its surface is therefore perfectly smooth. It has a light yellow to pinkish-brown colour which will darken slightly over time. We buy beech logs directly from the surrounding forests in the Eagle Mountains.

Beech from the Eagle Mountains often contains a dark core and small knots which is well distinguishable from the lighter wood. In our production we choose wood with beautiful dark grain. This creates a unique pattern and decorative appearance of products made of heart beech.

Oak furniture is characterized by a more distinctive pattern. The texture of the wood can be felt on the surface. It has a yellow-brown colour with a hint of golden colour. We select oak wood in Czech certified forests within 150 km from the Eagle Mountains.

American walnut is halfway between beech and oak in terms of its distinctive grain. The wood texture is less obvious by touch. It is the darkest of our three wood species. It is light brown to blackish brown in colour and will lighten slightly over time. We import this precious American walnut directly from North America.

Olej dokonale zachová autentický pocit přírodního povrchu dřeva. Na pohled i na pohmat. Oproti laku je méně odolný vůči rozlitému červenému vínu, dětskému jídlu nebo horkým nápojům a vyžaduje pravidelnou údržbu. V případě nehody ale desku ošetřenou olejem snadno opravíte i v domácích podmínkách.

Matný lak je nejodolnější povrchová ochrana, kterou může dřevěný povrch mít. Snadno odolá i rozlitému vínu, dětskému jídlu nebo horké kávě. A nevyžaduje téměř žádnou údržbu. Oproti oleji je pocit z přírodního materiálu při dotyku méně patrný, přesto zůstává povrch velice příjemný a přirozený.
