Gatta Vorta builds on the design principles of the collection, combining angled solid wood legs with a slender, ergonomically shaped shell. Precise upholstery and rounded armrests add to the comfort, while the swivel mechanism brings everyday practicality. The armchair moves seamlessly between the home office and the dining table.

Precise joints

The armchair is built to last, crafted with robust mortise-and-tenon joints secured by glue. Its construction is all-wood without metal parts, ensuring lasting strength and stability—even after decades of use.

Work meets leisure

The ergonomically shaped seat and backrest are crafted as a single shell from layered veneer, allowing for gentle flexibility. Quality upholstery adds an extra layer of comfort. Even after hours of sitting, the armchair remains effortlessly pleasant.

Ease for the elbows

The slender armrests are integrated into the backrest, with no need for visible supports. Their rounded edges and thoughtful design enhance noticeably both seating comfort and refinement.

Tailored to tuck

Despite the armrests, the Gatta armchair fits seamlessly beneath the table. Its carefully considered proportions and the Gatta table’s low aprons allow for unobstructed alignment.

Up and back with ease

To step away from the table, simply swivel to the side and stand up—no need to move the armchair itself. The seat rotates 180 degrees and then gently returns to its original position, thanks to the auto-return mechanism.

Configurator

Beech has the least distinctive pattern of all our wood species. Its surface is therefore perfectly smooth. It has a light yellow to pinkish-brown colour which will darken slightly over time. We buy beech logs directly from the surrounding forests in the Eagle Mountains.

Beech from the Eagle Mountains often contains a dark core and small knots which is well distinguishable from the lighter wood. In our production we choose wood with beautiful dark grain. This creates a unique pattern and decorative appearance of products made of heart beech.

Oak furniture is characterized by a more distinctive pattern. The texture of the wood can be felt on the surface. It has a yellow-brown colour with a hint of golden colour. We select oak wood in Czech certified forests within 150 km from the Eagle Mountains.

American walnut is halfway between beech and oak in terms of its distinctive grain. The wood texture is less obvious by touch. It is the darkest of our three wood species. It is light brown to blackish brown in colour and will lighten slightly over time. We import this precious American walnut directly from North America.

Olej dokonale zachová autentický pocit přírodního povrchu dřeva. Na pohled i na pohmat. Oproti laku je méně odolný vůči rozlitému červenému vínu, dětskému jídlu nebo horkým nápojům a vyžaduje pravidelnou údržbu. V případě nehody ale desku ošetřenou olejem snadno opravíte i v domácích podmínkách.

Matný lak je nejodolnější povrchová ochrana, kterou může dřevěný povrch mít. Snadno odolá i rozlitému vínu, dětskému jídlu nebo horké kávě. A nevyžaduje téměř žádnou údržbu. Oproti oleji je pocit z přírodního materiálu při dotyku méně patrný, přesto zůstává povrch velice příjemný a přirozený.
