Gatta combines a lightweight base with angled legs and a precisely upholstered seat and backrest. Inside, a gently responsive ergonomic shell enhances comfort and gives the chair its remarkably light appearance.

Precise joints

The chair is built to last, using robust technique of glued mortise-and-tenon joinery. It remains firm even after decades of use. Its all-wood construction has no metal joints.

Made for long meals

The ergonomically shaped seat and backrest are formed as a single shell from layered natural veneer. This allows the backrest to adapt softly when leaning into the chair. Premium upholstery enhances seating comfort, and even after hours of sitting and dining, one still feels comfortable.

Light in hand

Although made from solid wood, Gatta weighs only 5.5 kg. It’s remarkably light and effortlessly easy to handle.

Configurator

Beech has the least distinctive pattern of all our wood species. Its surface is therefore perfectly smooth. It has a light yellow to pinkish-brown colour which will darken slightly over time. We buy beech logs directly from the surrounding forests in the Eagle Mountains.

Beech from the Eagle Mountains often contains a dark core and small knots which is well distinguishable from the lighter wood. In our production we choose wood with beautiful dark grain. This creates a unique pattern and decorative appearance of products made of heart beech.

Oak furniture is characterized by a more distinctive pattern. The texture of the wood can be felt on the surface. It has a yellow-brown colour with a hint of golden colour. We select oak wood in Czech certified forests within 150 km from the Eagle Mountains.

American walnut is halfway between beech and oak in terms of its distinctive grain. The wood texture is less obvious by touch. It is the darkest of our three wood species. It is light brown to blackish brown in colour and will lighten slightly over time. We import this precious American walnut directly from North America.

Olej dokonale zachová autentický pocit přírodního povrchu dřeva. Na pohled i na pohmat. Oproti laku je méně odolný vůči rozlitému červenému vínu, dětskému jídlu nebo horkým nápojům a vyžaduje pravidelnou údržbu. V případě nehody ale desku ošetřenou olejem snadno opravíte i v domácích podmínkách.

Matný lak je nejodolnější povrchová ochrana, kterou může dřevěný povrch mít. Snadno odolá i rozlitému vínu, dětskému jídlu nebo horké kávě. A nevyžaduje téměř žádnou údržbu. Oproti oleji je pocit z přírodního materiálu při dotyku méně patrný, přesto zůstává povrch velice příjemný a přirozený.
